Lulza met Paula on the streets of São Paulo (Brazil). He was part of a Steiger team sharing the message of Jesus in the midst of Carnival, one of the biggest parties in the world. Paula shared that she wasn't feeling happy even with the crowds celebrating around her, and Lulza arrived right at the moment she needed to talk to someone.

Their conversation turned to Paula’s feelings of loneliness from lack of meaningful relationships and conversations, and continued to go deeper. Paula told Lulza about her spirituality, a journey full of doubts and searching.

Lulza shared the message of Jesus with Paula and afterwards, she said something that struck him. “I felt welcomed. It was a very different feeling. I can't explain it, but it was special.” He had found someone who needed to be seen.

Once again, the Steiger Movement in Brazil was present during Carnival, bringing the message of the Cross to five cities. For six days, they engaged countless people through creative street actions, interviews, live performances, and spiritual conversations. Secular young people heard about Jesus and received prayer. Many attended a follow-up BBQ gathering, where the team sat down with the people they met on the street, taking the time to truly listen and share more about the love of Jesus.
