In March of 2025, Saray from the Madrid Steiger MVMT team received an invitation through Instagram to perform at a local bar. At first glance, it was a dark space—visually and spiritually. The night’s event was part of Women’s Week and featured a mix of art, performance, and heavy feminist themes. There was even a giant painting of a demon at the entrance. But Saray sensed the Holy Spirit prompting her to go, not just to sing her songs, but to bring the presence of Jesus into that space. So she brought team member Yvonne with her for prayer and support, and they went in obedience.

The bar was intimate, and it was a place for deep conversation and searching hearts. While grabbing water, Saray met Estrella—the bartender and resident tarot reader. That brief interaction set the tone for the night: this was spiritual ground.

Saray took the stage and sang. As she transitioned into worship, the atmosphere shifted. What had felt tense and heavy opened up. Suddenly, people were listening with open hearts as she shared about Jesus.

After the event, Saray and Yvonne connected with a Venezuelan girl named Maya. She was moved by what Saray shared. Maya told them that, lately, she’s been feeling closer to God—her boyfriend and sister, both in different countries, had independently started reading the Bible. “It’s all around me,” she said.

The next day, Saray received a voice message from the bar owner, whose mother is also a tarot reader. She said, “I was listening to your lyrics… I don’t think you were just singing about anyone. Was it… God?” Then she added, “You don’t have to say yes, but I hope you do.”

Saray responded with the truth: “Yes, I was singing about Jesus, the Jesus of the Bible. He’s full of peace, and I want others to experience what I’ve found in him.”

Just recently, Saray got to meet with Maya again, and it was incredible. She was very open and hungry for truth. Her boyfriend, after spending time reading the Bible on his own, actually gave his life to Jesus and is now boldly sharing about him on social media! Maya shared some of her own story and allowed Saray to pray with her, and she had the chance to clearly explain the Gospel. Saray and Maya are now planning to start reading the Bible together.

God is clearly at work, going after the one, reaching hearts in unexpected places. This is why we go. Into the dark, into the unknown, bringing Jesus right to the center of it all.
