Bringing the Love of Jesus to International Women’s Day

“Natalia” connected with “Ana” at the entrance of the “ShoutTent,” an outreach project the Steiger Bogotá (Colombia) Team set up in the midst of the Women’s Day marches. The team invited women passing by to take a turn in the tent, which they had filled with Biblical truths (“You are morebeautiful than precious stones”), and let out whatever was in their hearts.

Some shouted, some cursed, some whispered, and afterwards the Steiger team engaged them in conversation and offered prayer.

“I asked Ana why she was marching, and she told me that 13 years ago her daughter was taken away from her,” shared Natalia. “I didn’t hear her shout inside the tent, and when she came out she told me about the guilt she felt over that day.”

Natalia shared the message of the Cross with Ana and explained that God’s heart hurts for her and her daughter. Ana was not ready topray with Natalia on the street that day, but they exchanged contacts and Natalia has begun walking in a discipleship relationship with her since then.

Steiger teams in eight cities across Latin America took to the streets to share the love of Jesus with women marching for International Women’s Day.

Throughout the region, they had 723 conversations with young women looking for meaning and connection.
