Steiger International Newsletter (March 2026)

“What is love?” We all long to be loved, yet love so often fails us. “What went wrong?”
These and many other questions sparked conversations with people around the world as Steiger teams took to the streets this past Valentine’s Day.
In Russia, the city of Khabarovsk saw an incredible night of outreach. Steiger missionary Misha and the team met “Dmitri,” a young man who opened up about a hidden struggle. On the outside, he was a successful athlete, but inside, he was carrying deep pain. After a difficult breakup and pressure from his family, he admitted that he had been thinking about suicide every day.
In the middle of that honest and vulnerable conversation, the team shared the hope of Jesus and prayed with him, and they could all see that hope returned to his face. Dmitri began talking about his future, his family, and new plans. In a moment, God brought peace and reminded him that his story isn’t over.
“Once again, we saw how the Lord can bring peace and transform a person’s heart in a single moment,” shared Misha.

In Madrid, Spain, Steiger missionary Yvonne and the team had a profound encounter with “Lucia,” who was searching for hope in the midst of struggle.
They invited her to explore their “first aid kit for the heart,” a creative tool where different bottles represented remedies for loneliness, sadness, and anxiety—each paired with a Bible verse. When she chose the bottle for anxiety, she began to cry, opening up about a difficult situation and feeling completely alone.
The team shared the love of Jesus with Lucia, guiding her through “Encounter with Your True Love,” an interactive reflection on 1Corinthians 13. She participated thoughtfully in every station, received a personal love letter from God, and left deeply moved. Several team members were able to pray with her, and they continue to stay in touch, trusting God to lead her to give her life to Jesus.

In Cluj, Romania, our Steiger team used an interactive art installation built around a heart to invite people to reflect on what truly drives them—fear, anger, or disappointment. These honest conversations opened the door to a deeper question: what is keeping us from giving and receiving real love?
As people engaged, the team shared the hope of the Gospel, that through Jesus’ sacrifice, we are offered a love that is personal, unshakable, and eternal. A love that never fails.
“People were eager to listen to the message of the Gospel. Two guys came to church the next day, and one of them made a decision for Christ!” shared team member Favian.

“I was scrolling through Instagram when I saw a post about the Revolutionary! event. It was exactly the kind of thing that matched my skills and what I was looking for at the time, so I decided to participate. I guess the algorithms really work!” — “William,” from Ireland.
Through March and April, Ben Pierce is hosting Revolutionary!—an online gathering for creatives who want to use their art to boldly share Jesus.
So far, over 300 creatives from around the world have engaged with the online training, joining live sessions, participating in follow-ups, and continuing to watch and interact with the content afterward. Throughout the gathering, participants are being challenged to rethink the role of creativity, not just as expression, but as a way to communicate truth and reach people beyond traditional church spaces.
“We want you to know this almighty, powerful God, and what He wants to do through you and your art. He is calling you to surrender everything in order to do something truly meaningful, and to love people enough to tell them the truth,” shared Steiger missionary Luke.
If you’ve ever felt the tension between your art and your calling, this space is for you.
