“Even if there is a God, I hate him. I’ve seen too many terrible things done in his name—I don’t believe in him,” Eibo replied when our team asked if he believed in God.

In 2023, our North America team mobilized young adults to share the Gospel on the streets of Houston, where they met Eibo, a young man from the Middle East. Initially resistant and skeptical, he was deeply moved when he heard about Jesus’ sacrifice. He started engaging in Bible study with the young adults he met that day, and ultimately surrendered his life to Christ, getting baptized a few months later!

But his story didn’t stop there.

He began to share with his family about how Jesus had changed his life. One by one, his Muslim family began to believe—first his younger sister and niece, then his older sister, and finally even his skeptical brother.

Now, Eibo is prayerfully considering returning to his home country to serve the underground Church and bring hope to others trapped in the same despair he once knew.

“We don’t need to make Jesus complicated,” Eibo shared with our North America team on a call last month. “He rose from death, and we live for the day that we can have an eternal life with Him. I’m not going to trade Jesus for anything. If I can serve him [in the Middle East], why should I stay here? My life, compared to eternal life with Jesus, is just a second.”
