About
God led us to join the Steiger São Paulo Team in October 2011. In 2015 we did the Steiger Missions School, then we volunteered and for more than a decade we have been missionaries fully dedicated to God's mission and leaders in Steiger Brazil. We serve in the outreach and discipleship of young people who would be unlikely to walk into a church. We work mostly in São Paulo, but also with movements and teams in Brazilian cities and even in Europe on occasion. We are thankful to God and to our friends who work with us!Aline is the Regional Manager for Brazil along with the Regional Director (Hudson Parente), and Angelo is the Regional Discipleship Manager for Steiger Brazil. We all work in the core leadership with Moah Buffalo, Isaac Zion and Maria Flávia Nil as Steiger missionaries. Over the years, we have seen teams and movements emerge and more new missionaries and leaders arrive (which is why Angelo is also a Cohort Leader in Steiger Year One). We also work with a film production company (Tomé Filmes) which works with teams of Christians and non-Christians in secularized culture; Angelo is director-screenwriter and Aline is producer. From the beginning, through the development of the Steiger São Paulo team and Steiger Brasil, we have seen God raise dozens of capable members and new missionaries, today in 2 teams and 6 movements with a few partner churches in the country. We teach in training and produce various Steiger activities (Manifeste, concerts, tours and Christian events). We are theologians with missionary and cultural experience (in theological academic environment too), so churches and ministries also invite us to lectures, conversations, sermons, podcasts and trainings, helping to awaken the practice and public communication of the Gospel by Christians and communities on behalf of young secularized humanists. There is a great need to engage with young urban Brazilians who have an aversion to the Church, to love them and to welcome them, serving and helping them to follow Jesus Christ until be part of a church; also for healthy relationships in their cultural realities, resisting the plurality of contemporary idols and his fake teaching. Our lifestyle is always attentive to be witnesses with Christ, with the conviction of the Spirit and the choice of the Father (Eph 1:1-23; 1 Thess 2:12-13; 2 Thess 13-14), present in the ever-changing urban youth cultures, sharing the Gospel in their language and reality, through discipleship relationships outside the church, and even Christian mentoring. The real issue of the contexts of Global Youth Culture in Brazil is rather neglected in history and at present, with the challenge of tens of millions. As Steiger International missionaries, we continue to be supported by a network of Christian friends as God causes initiative in them. God has been faithful through the years. Our network of donors is not always stable, nor does it correspond to the Brazilian or international cost of living or inflation. We always count on the generosity of the Church, knowing that God moves the hearts and actions of our old and new collaborating friends. If you would like to follow our life, contribute to it, or follow our films, please contact us at angelo.davi@steiger.org or aline.davi@steiger.org. We are counting on your prayers for us, for the churches and young people of Brazil, and we pray for you also.
