Dear Friends,

I broke out into some kind of rash. It felt itchy, like burning needles all over my body. I went to the doctor twice to get it treated, but it still didn’t go away. The itching made our flight to Stuttgart difficult.  That night, before our next flight to Warsaw, I lay on my hotel bed, shirtless, and turned the air conditioning up as cold as possible to try and freeze my skin.

For example, we played in a famous club in Wroclaw, Poland called Madness. There were a lot of people at the concert, including some black-metal guys who were glued to the show. After the concert, I invited those who wanted to know more about God to follow us outside into the parking lot. Many people in the club followed us outside, hungry to know more.
  
I talked with a guy named Gregory who was in a "Gothic Operatic Industrial" band.  Gothic industrial shows are very demonic. Sometimes they invite witches to come and dance naked around big fires while they play in old, abandoned factories.  It's a very heavy scene, but it's not unusual for the people in it to be highly educated and influential.  Gregory had just completed his PhD in economics and is a professor at a university in Wroclaw.  

God was really after him.  He told me that he had talked with someone like me in London, that he wanted to know Jesus, but he felt a "wall" keeping     him from God.  I asked him if I could pray for him and he said I could.  So I prayed that Jesus would break into his life and set him free.  While I prayed he said he felt "icicles" breaking inside of him. Afterwards, Martijn, who is a pastor of a church in Wroclaw, had a long talk with him.  Gregory decided he would go to Martijn’s church.

Others in the parking lot were set free from depression and made breakthrough commitments to Jesus.  One guy came up to me after the concert to thank me because his girlfriend gave her life to Jesus that night!  A young Catholic priest was also there and he asked me to consider speaking at his church in the future.

We also played at an Anarchy Federation Squat run by political anarchists in Posnan, Poland. This was the 2nd time that we played there. They are very serious about what they do; they even have an Anarchist library!  The concert was peaceful and I was able to preach boldly in the club. Bartex (a young punk) gave his life to Jesus that night and other influential people from the scene were there and had a chance to hear the message of the cross.

After the Polish leg of our evangelistic tour, we traveled to the SLOT Festival.  The SLOT festival is held in a castle in Poland and over 5000 people were there this year. I preached every day under a tree in a main camping area; each day hundreds responded in the meetings, many giving their lives to Jesus for the first time.

God moved powerfully and many found Jesus on this tour.  Thank you for your part in making this happen by your prayers and financial support!! 

Our speaking tour in the States has been going well.  God has been moving powerfully in the meetings and Jodi and I both feel that God has been with us when we speak. On October 10th Jodi and I will be traveling to Sao Paulo, Brazil.  We will meet with Sandro & Mara Baggio, the leaders of Steiger Brazil.  We will also spend time with our Brazilian Steiger team and teach & preach at various places in Sao Paulo.

• Physical protection for Jodi and me. As I mentioned in this newsletter, it seems that I am often attacked physically before an evangelistic tour. Pray that God keeps us both healthy and safe as Sao Paulo is a dangerous city.
  
  
• That we can encourage our friends in Sao Paulo as they boldly serve Jesus in that desperate city.
  
  
• New monthly financial supporters for Jodi and I personally.  A $1,500 (USD) increase in our monthly support would allow us to freely pursue all the evangelistic opportunities that are opening to us around the world.
  
  
• Wisdom from God as we seek Him about what our priorities should be over the next couple of years. We really need to know how best to use our time as the ministry grows and more opportunities present themselves.
