July 2005

Dear Friends,

All in all, I would say the Steiger School in New Zealand rocked! Awesome people, full-on teaching and lectures, a beautiful country, powerful ministry in Wellington and elsewhere and when you put all of that together, you have an experience of a lifetime.

I didn’t fully realize how cool it was to be there until I returned home and felt the effects.

I feel closer to God now and more on fire for Him. I am very thankful to Him for bringing me to New Zealand and the Steiger School. - Dan

I had a pretty difficult time the first two weeks after I left the Steiger School. Long story short - I felt like all that I learned in New Zealand and all the ways I had grown were gone and I was just back to where I always have been. But it wasn’t true, I just felt like it.

Since then, God has opened my eyes again and I can see the way I could during the school. My roommate and I have been going to the Salvage Yard (A church that Steiger Minneapolis in the States has started) and the Jesus Kitchen (a Steiger ministry to the homeless. Also we've been waking up at 6:30 on weekdays to read the Bible. It’s crazy for me and crazier for Tim since he doesn’t have to work until 3:30pm! - Josh

These are just a couple of e-mails we have received from people who were in our Steiger Radical Missions and Leadership School this past March-May.(note the new name that better describes what it is).

A few years ago, it became clear to me that God was leading us to train young evangelists and church planters and help them get out and do what God has called them to do.

So for me to watch this latest group of people go through our school and leave more excited than ever about serving Him was an incredible privilege.

Please pray that God will help us choose the right people for the next school, people who are willing to do whatever God asks, no matter what the cost.

Lately, as I have spent time with God, I have felt that it's time for Steiger to grow. We either need to let God stretch our faith and expand our ideas of what He can do, or move out of the way!

Pray that we will have the courage to go through any and every door God opens for us.

Please pray for David and the rest of the NLM team while they rehearse for the upcoming tours in Poland and Germany.

We really need your prayers for the following:

Transport - the team will be packed in like sardines in two vans for the Polish tour. Pray the vans don't break down and that there will be unity among the team!

Financial provision for both the Polish and German evangelistic tours.

That many, many young people will give their lives to Jesus!!
