DAVID & JODI PIERCE

HISTORY

NEWSLETTER

January 2007

Dear Friends,

"Man who danced with Satanists" headlined the local newspaper.  The newspaper advertised my visit to speak at the secular club, which was packed with about 500 German young people.  In fact it was so full that Michael and I had difficulty finding a place to stand.

"Everybody has a need for security in a world that is out of control,” I said to the crowd, as Michael translated, “But real peace and security in this world will only be found when you surrender your life and follow Jesus.”

"If you want to give your life to Jesus stand up and come to the front."   More than 50 young people stood up and struggled to move through the crowded club to the stage.  Together they prayed out loud with Michael and me, asking Jesus to come into their lives in that secular, German club!
A guy named Dirk, who was 30 years old, came up to me afterwards and wanted to talk.  He told me that his life was a mess and that it was time to surrender to Jesus.  I put my hand on his shoulder and prayed for him; after I prayed,

he asked Jesus to come into his life.  Michael and I had many talks that night, including one with the club owner who wants No Longer More than 50 young people prayed out loud, asking Jesus to come into their lives.Music to do a concert there next year.

The event, called "ON FIRE", was organized by Wolfgang Arzt, a very charismatic youth leader and evangelist in Solinger, Germany.  He has been leading a weekly bible study, which has become a place for those who responded to Christ during the event to continue to grow in their faith.  Just today, he e-mailed me to let me know that the city is still talking about the night I spoke.  There was even an article in the local paper the next day talking about it.
Text Box: More than 50 young people prayed out loud, asking Jesus to come into their lives.

That night in the club serves as yet another
reminder of how hungry people are for the truth; we continue to see evidence of this as more people come to Jesus.

As Jodi and I look forward to this new year,
we are so excited about all the opportunities
that are before us.  We believe that in 2007, Steiger will see a time of multiplication and the release of young evangelists and church planting teams all over the world—it needs to happen because the harvest is great.

Thank you for your partnership in bringing the love of Jesus to so many.

For the lost,
David & Jodi Pierce
