Poland

For years David and Jody Pierce, No Longer Music, and other Steiger workers have helped with the anual SLOT Art Festival in Poland. The special relationship between Steiger and SLOT started in 1992, when NLM and some of David's close Polish friends organized an evangelistic concert tour followed by a discipleship camp. The camp (attended by only 40 people the first year) grew into the SLOT Art Festival of today with 6000+ in attendance.

The event is an art and music festival aimed at presenting Christ in a comprehensible way to Polish members of the global youth culture. Through concerts, workshops, multi-media happenings, art exhibits, parties etc., people are presented with the truth: that there is a God who cares about them and is interested in them no matter who they are or what they are like.

After the Festival, throughout the year, there is a net work of people who are involved in follow-up work in their local cities/villages. These efforts include individual discipleship, Bible studies and evangelistic efforts. In this we support those who are actively trying to use their artistic and musical skills for God while being involved in the different subcultures. For more information about the festival, visit:
