In our church, we’ve been studying the book of Genesis. And as we come to the end of Abraham’s life, you might notice that the stories don’t say a whole lot about Isaac, his son. Instead, it moves pretty quickly to Jacob, with just a few quick stories about Isaac. But as I was studying and thinking about this, I kind of got stuck, because there is something about Isaac that we need to look at. I can’t just move quickly into looking at the life of his children as if everything is okay and normal. So I want to share a bit about what I’ve been thinking.
