Over the last 25 years, Steiger has developed a unique ability to bridge the language and cultural gaps between the church and secular youth. As a result, Steiger has more opportunities than our current organization structure is able to meet.
Every year, Steiger has to turn down opportunities for evangelistic outreach, church planting and development of new ministries because we simply do not have the capacity to meet all of the opportunities we are presented with. In other words, the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few (Matthew 9:37).
In order to meet the opportunities that God has given us to bring the Gospel to dark places around the world, Steiger has identified the need to grow and multiply, specifically in terms of the number of trained full-time missionaries.
To do this, Steiger’s leadership has the vision to start a strategic international headquarters in Dresden, Germany. This headquarters will dramatically increase Steiger’s organizational capacity by training, equipping and releasing new evangelists, church planters and discipleship teams around the world to reach the lost secular youth culture for Christ. Steiger’s leadership has identified a property suitable for this purpose near Dresden, Germany. It includes 3 large buildings (total of 28,000 square feet) with dormitories, classrooms and workspaces and 130,000 square feet of land.
Though a recent government inspection valued the property at just under 1 million Euros, the property is bank owned and the current asking price is at 150,000 Euros (approx. US $225,000). In addition, the property requires an estimated 450,000 Euros worth of renovations.
The Need
The property will go up for auction on Thursday, December 10. We still need around 50,000 Euros to cover the purchase price - additional funds are needed for renovations.
Please pray for God's provision and that, if this property is the place that God wants Steiger to have for the International Headquarters, the bank would look favorably on us and we will be able to purchase the property.
