Luke and Ania Greenwood are Steiger missionaries. They are members of the No Longer Music team and Steiger's vision team. This newsletter describes their recent experience on tour with No Longer Music and their ongoing follow up efforts.

Dear friends and praying servants,

Some members of a metal band from a Muslim area where many members of a terrorist group live attended our first youth centre meeting in a city in the Middle East* (remaining vague for protection). They listened to our message attentively as we explained how following Jesus was far from the political conflict and the religiosity that most of these young people know.

Whilst some guys from another band came forward and knelt to receive Jesus, they felt uncomfortable and left the meeting. By coincidence (or not!), we ran into them again later that evening at a restaurant! I went over to greet them and they apologised for having left the meeting saying that they respected what we had said. As I asked them more about their faith they explained that although they were Muslim by family and identity, they had lost faith in God. They asked why I followed Jesus and as I explained the difference between religiosity and the free way to the Father by grace that Jesus offered they seemed to go quiet and thoughtful. They invited me to visit them in the Muslim area when I return to to this Middle Eastern city in October. There are many young people in this part of the world, like these guys, who come from a Muslim background, but are tired of religiosity, seeking something else.

Ania and I will be in this Middle Eastern city to continue the follow-up work and support the youth centre from the 1st until the 13th of October. We will be with the small group of believers who lead this new centre, leading them in Bible studies and prayer, seeking  to encourage and strengthen them in their calling. Please pray for that time. As we have said before, this is the first ministry like this reaching that generation in this Middle Eastern city, and it has potential to reach young people all over the Arab gulf countries, as many come through the city on work and holiday.

God moved with power in our time in Croatia. In Rijeka we visited the same square where the NLM concert was held and ended up having over 30 young guys and girls follow us to a local Pentecostal church. On the second day of meetings there we gave a clear gospel message and whilst some walked out about 15 people knelt as a sign of willingness to follow Jesus. We had 6 meetings like this in three towns. New Bible studies have started up lead by the local church in Cakovec and Rijeka to disciple these young people. Our Steiger worker in Cakovec has a vision to run this new Bible study and continue outreach efforts to the local club.

Prayer requests:
- Please continue to pray for Ania’s visa to Brazil. We have applied and are now waiting for an answer.
- The team in the Middle Eastern city that we are visiting have had to move out of the hall they were using to meet in. Pray that God will provide a new place for them.
- Pray for strength for Ania and I in this ministry that at the moment requires a lot of travelling.

With love,

Luke & Ania
